Dog bitten by snake
07-06-2018, 07:23 PM
Our 1.5 yr old Boykin was bitten on the nose, just now. Wife said it was a "brown snake". It got under the fence before I could respond.
Any suggestions for caring for the dog?

As said before. Benadryl. If it was poisonous it will swell and the. Seep our of the original bite mark. Let it seep out and keep the pup cool and hydrated. Should be good as new

He's up and about today. Moderate swelling. Gave him another Benadryl. Has a good appetite and is acting normal. All good!
