      That's why.

I'm glad he doesn't trap next to me.

Okay haha that explains why I can't trap any on that side of our property. I've been trying to hit our property over there off county rd 410 hard, but I guess I am being out trapped by you lol. Nice catches by the way!

I wish we had fox here, but the coyotes have long since killed them off.

With hunting season in full swing I haven’t had much time to set out any traps; and when I have, it’s been raining.

On my last round I managed to get eleven traps out, and came up with three first night catches.

Coyotes were traveling along the smooth track to the right side of the sendero.

The double dirt hole set is on the upwind side of the trail.

                  The next morning.

                  Dirt Hole Double.

This little shortcut trail is only about thirty yards long, and is was being used exclusively by coyotes.

I set three blind sets at pinch points along the trail. The sets produced three coyotes in two nights.

I make these blind sets for coyotes that have been avoiding baited and lured sets.

This is my biggest female of the year weighing in at twenty-seven pounds.

Not sure how this happened. Never seen this before and not real sure how it was even possible.

I guess he was. It would still take some doing to get caught like that.

These South Texas coyotes don’t need to be hungry to hit a dirt hole set.

This Male was so dog bellied he looked like he was about to pop!

That didn’t stop him from investigating that double dirt hole stuffed with tasty morsels of venison goodness.

Christmas Day produced this big female coyote weighing in at twenty-six pounds.

And a very mad bobcat that did not appreciate the fact that I cut him loose.
