Things To Do In Destin?

We are in Destin for our Baseball WS. What are some fun things to do with the kids besides the beach? Also places to eat?

Just got back from there last week, Fudpuckers was a blast for my daughter as she got to feed the gators and the food was good.

How old are the kids? One of the funnest things we did was rent a pontoon in Panama City and took it to Sea Shell Island. We will do that every time we go now.

If you have a grill, we get some fresh shrimp or fish and grill a lot of times. We stay close to the Back Porch, it is good along with their other restaurant Pampano Joes. Both are right on the beach.

Kids are 12 and running wild LOL! We are staying at Mainsail so pretty much in the middle of a lot of places. Just trying to cut it down a bit instead of hit or miss.

As someone stated, the Back Porch and Pompano Joes are decent for fresh seafood (or just about anything else); both are open air, right on the beach.

Fuddpuckers is good for atmosphere, but the food is not as good as the two places above. It has more of a bar/grill type menu, but fresh seafood is lacking. Great place for kids though. Bring a sharpie marker.

Donut Hole is great for breakfast. Two locations, probably the Santa Rosa location would be closer from Mainsail.

We eat out a lot while in Destin as we don't feel like cooking most nights while on vacation. Most places, food is ok, but nothing special.

What about a snorkel trip out of the harbor? There's a few boats that do that and it's a pretty good trip for kids and adults. On the flip, you could rent a pontoon and venture over to Crab Island and make your own little trip.

Go to Bass pro really cool fish tank.
Eat at lulu's.
Rent a boat and go to crab island.
Do a fishing trip.

Boshamps is my favorite restaurant by far. Been going for several years now.

McGuire’s is a cool place with monster burgers. Flippers Adventures Does a good snorkel/dolphin trip.

Rent a pontoon and spend the day at crab islands. Eat dinner across the bridge in Fort Walton Beach at “Old Bay Steamers” the food is excellent!

Rent a kayak. Look online for coordinates of reefs within two miles of beach. Head out trolling a cigar minnow. At reef, drop down with heavy weight. We just got back from Seaside and went out several days. We did everything with our bass rods/reels. Awesome!
