Models are indicating some more cold air entering Texas around 1/27 & 28th. But this time the intrusion is from the west and air does not appear to be nearly as cold as the previous intrusions.

I donít, at least not for my area, we need moisture in a bad way. Everything is a static shock waiting to be touched, and each day bring a new cotton gin fire. Plus I need a snow day with my kids followed by a day of calling coyotes in cold conditions. The snow is just a bonus for the latter!

Interesting Oymyakon, Russia generally considered the coldest inhabited place on earth. Earlier this week it reached MINUS 88 F. It reached Minus 90 there in February 1933, which also marks the coldest temp in Texas history, minus 23 in Seminole.

I doubt that sort of cold is headed this way again, but that would be the source region for this next batch of cold air

Well maybe this next front will do the opposite that this last one did... Out here on the Prairie, we have PLENTY of wet for a while... Would love to send some your way. I'll shoot up a little prayer for some moisture for you guys!

Lots of farmers in the RGV are thinking about pulling out their planters to start chasing moisture. The boyeez on the other side of the wall lost a lot of grain and corn that was already up in the last freeze. If anyone predicts really cold air making it down here please let me know

Frankie says it’s going to be a blizzard

In Nova Scotia

The 1st full week of Feb looks like it could be sketchy with some cold coming down and disturbances in the mix.

But that’s a long ways out. Models have been decent “detecting” these cold air intrusions, the timing and intensity seems to shift along the way.

Dang, I just cannot handle the guy... I know he's an internet weather sensation, but he sounds too much like a nagging woman for me to be able to handle it...
