    Age/score? tough one

What I am really wondering is this deers age. This is a deer on my buddy's place that we have been following (through pics) since sept of last year. Last year we thought he was 3.5 based on his body and had planned on passing him thinking he would make a big jump from 3.5 to 4.5 although he never saw him on the hoof. This year he has the same body structure and is basically the same gross score (right side went down hill, but left side put on some). We have figured out from tons of pics of him that he has had an injured left front leg since he started getting pics of him last year. I am putting him at a minimal of 4.5 based on last years pics, but really have no idea. I also think he might be older. Will an injured leg prevent overall body body development? It makes sense based on a nutritional standpoint, but he is still putting on some pretty good bone! To help out on the average sized deer for this area...this is from north Texas up near the red river. If aren't familiar with this area, 5.5-6.5 yr/old bucks can sometimes reach 200 lb field dressed. What do ya'll think on age? We have a pretty good idea on score, but input on that matter would not hurt either. Ps: I generally talk in gross scores when field judging, especially in this case cuz he is not going to net well.
