    Traditional FSC Week 10

This week, as 3D season is in full swing, we'll practice a variation -- I believe it's called the Fred Bear scoring system. Standard scoring areas of 12, 10 and 8 points in the "kill zone". BUT, there is "wounding penalty" of Negative 5 points if outside the "kill zone."

Shoot three arrows from seated or kneeling stance (one or two knees okay) from 15 yards (8 for kids). Highest three-shot score wins. Line-cutters go to the higher score. You get three days' tries, with a day's first three shots.

Print out the target below or draw your own to similar dimensions.
    Have fun! Good luck!

Great call, but I don't have a printer at home. can you give me some approximate dimensions on those rings?

      Okay. Maybe this will help.

And, for the record, I hate computers and technology.

Will start things off with a nice penalty shot: 11 for day1.

        Wide open, y'all.

Better on Day 2 with a bit of luck for two line-cutter 8's and a 10 for 26.

Figured I try to get in on one with no calisthenics involved.[emoji5]
First shot a tad low and right but cut the 8 line. Shot from both knees. I cheated and used a pad.
            Call it 26?

              A very cold FSC attempt

Shot this after a few days off. Only had one arrow loaded with practice tips so the 2nd and 3rd shots were with broadheads, which wigged me out on my last shot and cost a -5.

              Call it 13 points.

                Good shooting, gentlemen!

Seems to be a tie at 26, for now. And, using a pad for knees is fine.

I haven’t shot one in a while so thought I’d jump back in on this one. 28 for today, but mine looks different printed out...the 5’a are cut off. Not sure what’s up with that.

Ok so mine printed out bigger for whatever reason. I measured the 8 ring and it’s almost 9” across. So maybe not as good as it looks?

CRM: Just eye-balling, I think it would score the same even with quite a bit smaller rings. Good shooting!

Agreed. The 12 would still be a 12.
The 8's would still be 8's, only a little farther from the 10 ring.
