How about come up with a list of things that you are interested in and then go do that? Might seem a little selfish but you will find out quick if y’all are on the same page or not. From the looks of your picture I would be scratching the date idea and trying to beat a personal best bass. Better yet, take her fishing! That will tell you right then if a second date is needed or not!!!

I took my wife squirrel hunting on our first date.

For Dallas....Bishops arts district is fun. Lots of eateries / beverage places and some cool shops.

Ft worth....Sundance square and the botanical gardens are always a good choice.

Being a teacher, you should study the history of the area. Lots of history from the time Ft. Worth was founded to present day. You could then make your own tour plan from it's founding, to the 1930s, to present day. Course food and drinks could be on the way pending when they would best fit. I have an old bike buddy that is a Ft. Worth building historian who worked for the city building dept. He dose tours of down town sometimes, both on bicycle and foot. I also had a great aunt that was a Ft. Worth historian. She brought my imagination to light, along with the rest of the family when I was young, and all the way into adulthood.

Is this going to be a live hunt thread? No advise on Dallas but be yourself.

H3 and White Elephant in Stockyards, Fred's and Magnolia Motor Lounge off W 7th (there's a bunch of other crap down there now too, but I can't remember what it's all called.

Horns in town playing baseball against TCU if the weather holds up.

Not a Dallas resident, but enjoyed the Bush Library-the food is very good and not too expensive. It's on the SMU campus. I would then go to Trees or the Bomb Factory if a good band was there. The JFK museum is also interesting. Traffic was scary around Dallas for me.

Don't do the Arboretum during the weekend. Way too crowded right now.

Lots of museums near downtown, Perot, Dallas Art. Also the Dallas Symphony, Morten Myerson for plays, and Dallas Opera.

You would also be close to uptown for food and Clyde Warren park too.

Lots of local beer, White Rock Ale House, Deep Ellum Brewery, to name a few...
