Mexican food: El Rancho Grande'. On North Main, south of Stockyards.
Steak: Since you'll be in Ft. Worth, you might as well go to The Cattlemen's Steakhouse. On Main @ Exchange. Right in the heart of the Stockyards.

Freds Café has ICE cold beer and a dang good burger and greasy cheese fries.

I am hoping Smart surprises me with a cold beer this year.

the Omni in ft worth has several restaurants on site..we stayed there for our anniversary and ate at one of them and it was very good. I cant remember the name but it wasn't the chophouse there which is supposed to be top notch but it was the other one with southwest type food- I had braised short rib with grits etc, they also have a "bar" with pool tables and music then they have a wine place on sight too. Im a cheap ***** so not leaving and paying for transportation elsewhere(since you have to valet park-no parking lot on site)

Sniper Hog Lights Booth #427. If your in need of a Bow light, Rifle light, Feeder light or headlamp, stop by because you wont find lower prices on our lights then what we have at the show and I guarantee you wont find any light that shines further for the size.

Good info on hotel! Thanks

We are all riding in the same car. So valet can be split. I also got an outstanding discount on the room otherwise we would have been at the Hampton Inn.

Stop by my students booth and say hi! HP TTHA club! They are some great kids and do some great things! Proud of them! Unfortunately I won't be able to be there because we have an FCA retreat this weekend too! But my TTHA officers will hold down the fort!

I missed a photo op with the elusive Jerp.
And one with Eric Pence and his lovely wife and family. My how his boys have grown!

I'll be there tomorrow evening at the booth again. We were pretty busy with just three of us there. And then one left. It was just a steady stream today/night. No long lines of youth waiting to shoot.

If you're in the market for bino's, do yourself a favor and look at the Mavens. They are every bit as good as my Swarovski's for less than half the price. They use high end Japanese optics and are assembled in the US. I got a pair of 8X30's that are phenomenally good.

I left work early yesterday and got there right after they opened. I went straight to Mitch's booth and bought a Krivoman blind. (Been wanting one for years!) Then I stopped by and chatted with TexasGrown as he did his noble work with the kids at the LSBA booth. Also chatted with Gunnyart for a few minutes as he sold his fine products. I went by the fishing tank but nobody was there yet - sorry to say I had to get home and was out of there by 4:30 or so.

Spent 5 hours over there. Saw skinny neck deep in fish so didn't stop. Gunny was busy both times also.

Overall a good show and it completed our TTHA show tour of all cities. I'd rate it top 2 and neck and neck with the corpus venue.

Eye candy is best in Houston....

Oh come on......DFW blows Corpus away attendance wise.... ... and I'd be willing to say it's **** close to Houston too. Today has been incredibly busy all day... much busier than Houston for us...

Eye candy is incredible at both.

Did the archery booth from @11am to 3pm, busy. My knees are sore. I was able to share a beer with WCB. Ran into Blood Trail this morning too.
