Default NFL Boycott is working.

As ratings drop to below The NBA ratings, the NFL is taking it hard in their pockets. So much so that Goodell came out and said this:

Good start but a boycott through the remainder of the season would make a longer lasting impression

I doubt for a moment that most of those involved in the "decision" to require standing have no other interest than $$$$$.
No thought for country or those who serve it

Yup. It's always been about money. Look how long it took advertisers to get on board with the whole LGBT thing. They didn't do for them, they did for the money. Same here.

Just got this email. I'm sure it's a hoax, but would be cool if it really did happen.

Flight Crew Takes A Knee And Walks Off, Leaving New Orleans Saints Stranded On Runway

The New Orleans Saints made the mistake of once again disrespecting our veterans, our country and our flag. After an embarrassing opening to a game with the worst ratings in Saintsí history, the players and coaches learned that their actions have consequences.

Both the pilot and co-pilot of the Boeing 737 the Saints use to travel are combat-hardened American heroes. They flew sorties over Baghdad with Saddamís best weapons firing back. They fought with their lives for your freedom and watched many of their friends die. Today they took a stand for those brave souls:
ďWe couldnít be a party to the disrespect. We waited until we were cleared and last off the runway for the night , walked out of the cockpit, took a knee and deplaned. Theyíre not going anywhere until tomorrow.Ē
Looks like the group of thugs should have just considered themselves lucky theyíre allowed to make millions for playing a game and stood with respect like theyíre told to do in the league rulebook.

This week was the worst week in NFL history for ratings. Next week will be worse.

We have the defund the NFL, NBA etc. I am telling you where its at is in your cable bill. People have no idea how much of their TV bill $ goes to fund the NFL etc. When CBS pays $Billions to the rights to broadcast NFL games they get that money from us via our cable bill. That's why years ago the NFL moved Monday night football to ESPN, why cause they want everyone paying a cable bill in America. That is a huge source of the funding. We have to stop them. What needs to happen is Congress needs to enact a law that Cable / Satellite providers have to offer a sports free programing. So maybe if you want to pay for collegiate sports you add it but if you don't want professional you don't have to pay for it. That would defund them dramatically and the revenue and player salaries would drop significantly. Next take every tax break they get away. Then fund no more stadiums. But I still say the key is to kill their funding via the cable bill we get. Why do you think your bill goes up every year by $3-5 if no more...They NFL is raping us and we just take it.

NFL is completely hypocritical. You can't write anything on your shoes or make any social statement during a game or you get fined, but want to make a social statement by kneeling during the anthem and "that's your right". Who comes up with this crap? It has freed up my Sundays to do other things, which is nice. NFL sucks. I'm with Skinny, College ball is way better.

I was disappointed the first week when three Packers sat.

Then after thinking about it, I remembered, I don't actually care what any of these guys political positions is. Rodgers has been a diva since day 1. So long as they hit their hole at full speed, with a linebacker coming at them full speed, with a massive collision ensuing, I am good to go.

People forget, most of these kids playing NFL football never evolved beyond about 15-16 years old mentally, a lot never had a father figure, and few have ever been taught how to express their emotions in a constructive way that would elicit positive change. I actually feel bad for most of the players, because they never got the love as a child that I did.

He couldn't beat them when he was a xfl team owner so now he is taking revenge as President on the league who didn't want him. Very juvenile and this country has a bigger issue. I'm sure you've seen the news, he has clearly attempted to tackle all those issues you mentioned. Its not his fault he's not getting the cooperation he needs. Its not like he's forgone those issues to address his thoughts on the NFL. What we tend to focus on is heavily influenced by the media. They love them some NFL controversy right now.

They ruined the enjoyment of watching a football game without listening to all the other bull going on. Making them stand now won't change the way I view the whole game. College football is 10 times better anyway, and I can watch it Thursday through Saturday. I doubt I ever watch NFL like I did before

My post in the other Jerry Jones foot down thread fits better here:

I am not nor ever have been an NFL fan... First football game I ever went to and sat in the stands instead of being on the field was my son's first middle school game... Football gave me a college education and the Lord put men of great character in my life through football, but today they have ruined the game at the professional level and it has filtered down into the college and high school level... The game is so watered down now, it cannot be played right. Hell, my oldest grandson (6) is playing FLAG football!! I gave up watching NFL games before Adams took the Oilers to Tenn.... And when Tom Landry was fired so humiliatingly, all class and respect left the game...

I am however a FAN OF OUR FLAG AND ANTHEM! I served that flag, and still honor it today. Many have tried to take her down to no avail. If Old Glory is to fall, it will fall from within... This NFL and knealing crap is just another sign that our country is deteriorating rapidly and it makes me sad and angry. Wouldn't bother me in the least if the NFL closed the doors and went out of business, but if we lose that Flag and all it stands for, we ALL lose...

We admit, Momma and I watch the Cowboys & Texans ONLY...then TCU & TTU. Not sure, but we don't remember the last Cowboy game with Green Bay even showing the National Anthem?

Wonder what will come out of the 2 Cowboy players who raised their fist? To us this always symbolized the Black Panthers? Now this morning on the news the NFL is reversing it's support to kneel......wonder if that's $$ motivated....well, of course!!

I'm glad to see as a country that we are beginning to get back what has been lost over the previous 8 years. I'm proud of Trump "Making America Great Again", even though he gets off in the deep end occasionally. But its easy to see that he has his heart and actions in the best interest of America and the culture that has made us great.

I think the NFL boycott should stand for the remainder of the season to teach them and everyone else a lesson.
