Default Damascus on Elk Antler

Alabama Damascus over Elk... 9 in 1/4 inch overall blade is 4 1/2 tip to guard with hammered finish. The pictures don't reflect the shine on the antler, it is highly buffed.

Scoutman; from now on all my knives are going to be one of a kind; that one I still need to make the sheath, I have several to make sheaths for. Hopefully I can get to them in a day or two and list them in the classifieds. I have it for sale on my website.

The only reason it does is because of the guard being round however; most puukko's are scandi grind. That one is flat ground, I mostly do hollow grinds because I think it's better for skinners, less restriction on thin cuts, for slicing I think a flat grind is better. Scandi grinds is better for cutting wood like carving or bush craft knives that do a lot of chopping. I make my kitchen knives on slack belt because I'll use them to chop through bones. That's the strongest grind but requires some serious re-sharpening if you don't have the equipment like us knife makers have.

Sorry for the long reply, you know me, I'm polish!
