No experience with the ford 6.2 but I would suggest just browsing the I-net for solutions to some of your issues. I have found solutions o some of these issues with other vehicles on different forums/blogs. Like search for forums on the Ford truck with 6.6 gas engine

Maybe things have changed but I have never seen gas tuners do anything comparable to what diesel tuners do.

Like, not worth the trouble.

I think you would be surprised on what can do for a gasser, I was. It was well worth the 350.00 I spent and that's the only money I have spent to upgrade anything.
