Baby it's cold (and wet) outside.

3 day running total - 15 points

Good shooting everyone.

Thanks.
The next 4 shots are where the real fun begins.

The first 3 shots were all done using my 15 yard string crawl.
The 20 will be done with the 20 yard crawl.
From there on will be pure gap with no crawl.

Rick

P.S.
Have I mentioned how much I love this new riser?

Some good shootin' up in here. I fell off a bit, with a 3 at 8 o'clock. Three-day total: 13 pts.

From the angle I thought I had finally hit the elusive black circle but nope, just a good solid 3.

Thanks. It's wet, freezing and breezy so it was a real quick shot and then back inside.

That's why I shot early. The late day forecast wasn't good and turned out to be right.

Plucky release wiggled it right: zero for Wednesday. Distance/elevation was good, though. Total still: 13.

Little high. Another 3 pointer. Tomorrow is the beginning of the end for me. 25 is a maybe. The last time I tried 35 I skipped the arrow into the target.

Big fat goose egg for me. Not sure what I did wrong but it probably goes back to form. I was in a hurry and shot quick.

I'll keep shooting these throughout the week but I'm not posting any pictures anymore. I just shot my 20 yarder with a flashlight laying by the target and got a big fat 0, same score as yesterday.

I shot 15 arrows at 25 for practice and only 4 were in my 6" target circle and only one would be a "3". So tomorrow ain't looking to good for the home team.

Horse pucky!

You got this, don't let that get in your head. Clear your mind, concentrate on the bullseye and make a smooth release.

[quote=DRT;13170663]At least you hit the paper.

I think just hitting the paper should be my goal....especially when moving farther back.

My Monday shot ended up between Friday and Saturday on the paper target! A big, fat ZERO! I was too embarrassed to post it...until today.

I know DRT said to skip the days that you don't shoot, but I'm going to shoot to catch up today....as there is no one in danger of losing to me!

Yeah, let's see what the longer distances bring. I've onle shot 30yds a few times and never past that. Now that I'm trying string walking and my new tab it's going to get interesting. Not even sure how to aim it but we'll see.

In the hope of changing my luck on this challenge, I switches bows from my TradTech Trident recurve to my Omega Imperial longbow this morning and was toting my arrows in the plains style quiver that my buddy Mike just finished for me. Thanks Mike!

The 15 yard shot for Tuesday was close and scored 3 points.

Name: tu3.jpg
Views: 31
Size: 33.6 KB

All the rest were out of bounds scoring all zeroes.

Wednesday shot from 20 yards is left

Thurday shot from 25 yards, left and low

Friday shot from 30 yards is low and in the hay

Name: fr2.jpg

The tally so far:
Sun - 1
Mon - 0
Tue - 0
Wed - 0
Thu - 0
Fri - 0

A little better after warming up. Six shots from 15 yards. I was aiming for the middle circle/dot.

Thanks for shooting along.

Hit the soft spot, and punched through the rubber mat backing.
Might be time to do some foam repair on my target butt.

So I brought the portable block target to Arkansas, found an open field where nobody ran me off, shot the shot, and scored ...... ZERO.

Stuck on 13. Practiced a couple from 35, though; hit the target and everything. Ready for tomorrow

I wanted to get the shot out center of my target butt foamed up,
so it would have time to cure well over the weekend.

That being the case I went ahead, and shot my Saturday shot today (Friday),
which DQ's me. Don't matter anyway, cuz I shot low for a zero.

Good shooting this week fellers.

WooHoo! I got another goose egg but I'm excited about hitting the paper at that range. I was on the phone with White Falcon when I made the shot. I think he could hear my excitement. I actually thought I'd scored but when I got to the target it was just outside.

Way to go, Phillip, on your 30-yard bullseye! Missed seeing that yesterday.

Shot my 35-yarder just now, with a little all-day drizzle going on. It's a zero; Grand Total 13 points. Actually pretty happy to have perfect distance/elevation. Plus, have a nice little long-distance group over on the paper edge at 3 o'clock.

Long way to 35 yards
