There's a muzzleloader season at Pat Mayse? Elaborate, please.

I hunt it periodically. I really enjoy it out there But, I haven't had near as much time out there to scout that I would like. Still learning the area. some pretty thick woods in a lot of areas. I have heard of some nice deer in there but All I have ever seen so far are does, spikes, 1 4 point and pigs.

I've never hunting the north side, I Have friends who have told me I should but they also say it can get kinda crowded. So I have always stayed around water intake and lamar point. I mainly hunt type 2 around Pat Mayse though. looking forward to doing some pig hunting (deer scouting) for next season.

Killed my first eastern turkey off the coe land at Pat Mayse years ago. If you have a boat you can get to some nice hunting around the lake. The turkey population is way down in Lamar Co. I hope it comes back. I have not heard a gobble in several years at Mayse in the springtime, but i am not out there as much as I used to be either.
