Default Kayak Truck Rack

Whipped this up when I had some spare time on my days off. I put d rings on the rails so they would serve more of a purpose than the rack itself. Rails are bolted on and I made the rack to come off and used pins to hold it on. Kind of a last minute project so had some minor issues along the way but it should work good. Maiden voyage to Buchanan to battle the cold, it may be more of a test run for the rack as I may not have them in the water much. Name: IMG_2337.jpg

Looks good. I need to do something similar for my utility trailer to haul 4 kayaks and gear. 2 on top, 2 on the rails, and gear in the bed.

Do you have anyway to lock them down on there if you were to park somewhere overnight, or if ya had to run into a store real quick?

If I had to I would run my brinks cable through the scupper holes of the kayaks and lock them together. They have some cables on Amazon that are longer just for that reason.

Looks great. A friend did something similar and had a canvas thing made up and it sits over the rack to make the bed into a tent.
