Can you please post performance details in regards to the tower?!?! Top heavy in deep water...lots of sway while on the fishing platform....ride in chop...catch a lot of wind while drifting....etc....??? And anything else you can think of or would have done differently.

Beautiful build!!!!

I didn't get much work done on the boat during hunting season. This was back when we got the snow one morning.

Paint work on the tower and seams of the boat that are not going to get covered by the decking and vinyl wrap. I used the at home spray on bed liner. We will see how long that last! But couldn't pay the 400 to 500 bucks they wanted to spray the tower.

What are the dimensions on the aluminum plates you bought? 4'x10'? And where did you buy them from?

6’X12’ and I have the hook up with an industrial materials supply. Most of the Aluminum for boats comes out of Florida and Louisiana.

you sir are an amazing welder... and obviously been around this type market. I replaced my axles under my boat with the same you used and would much rather had the CL of the mounting plates under the CL of the I beam for double bolts... but they assured me the new ones only had 2 bolts ! can't wait to see the after pics and in use pics!

You have some serious skills, where did you learn to do all this? It's not the everyday person that can weld aluminum and it not crack.

If I'm reading the op correct, he has already built it and is using it for that matter. Just giving us a play by play of the process.

Correct. I didn’t know how long it would take me to finish it completely so I decided not to post as a built because it took several months.

Which “at home liner” and what was your prep process? Buddy and I were just discussing various preps and results on this a couple days ago.

Can’t wait to see final result!

I got the rigging all finished and used a material called Hydroturf for the deck. This before I did the wrap on the sides and back.

Built a compression plate for the motor and applied the wrap. I am not 100% in love with the wrap and will prob change it in a few months. The only thing left is to add the seat cushions and a back rest cushion.

It’s very stable, wouldn’t change anything! I will never go back to a standard console, once you go tower you will never go back.
