While I have never had the urge to jump out of a plane, I have often thought hang gliding would be cool. So much for that idea.

Talk about "You had one job!" I think remembering to attach the passenger's harness to the glider would be right at the top of the checklist. He may have set a record for the one- arm hang. It is amazing what you can do when the alternative is becoming a wet spot on the ground

I'm sure it's like when you're new to water skiing and fall. For some reason it's instinctual to just hold and by the time you realize you should let go you've sucked down 5 gallons of water. Or in his case, your 50-100 feet off the ground.

I wonder why guy didn't try and attach his harness to something...anything..the axle of the glider? Maybe that's part of their training too as it would make landing pretty gnarly if he wasn't suspended or able to simply bail.
