I'll be fishing this evening, for those of you who know where I'll be at come on. If you want to go shoot me a text at 281917242five and I'll share. Don't mind sharing spots internally but no way I'm putting them out for everyone to see. I'll be there by 5.

You boys are having a blast. I used to run to the surf every time I thought it was flat. The flags would be flat all the way till about with a purple pussycat was but we would still go. About one out of every ten trips way to hit it right.

The best 10 fish stringer I ever caught in East Matagorda Bay was the day before a hurricane hit. Wind was building, chop was building and I just couldn't leave em. I'm not a whole lot smarter now, I'd do it again if I could.

That is awesome!! I think that's probably the biggest gulf trout I've ever seen...

Those 10-12 inch sandies are dang good eatin' if you fry 'em up fresh... They don't freeze too good though.

I havenít been down there in a little bit, but I havenít seen it good down there in a while. The Brazos has kept it nasty. I live 15 minutes from there and drive to Surfside instead.

New update. I have been promised my boat will be ready for pick up Friday when I get there at 2pm.

If itís not ready I would possibly need some help getting out of Montgomery county jail. I will keep everyone updated.

You have no idea.

Sales was ok both times for me. The service manager on the other hand...

Actually talked to a couple at the boat show last year about my exact hull. Told them I love the boat etc. The salesman was loving me. Then my wife, a buddy and I told them about the Conroe service guy. Sales dude rushed them off

Billy, hereís a pic of my stringer. You take the clip, and put it above your fish when you catch one, that way, if you lose your stringer, your fish wonít come off, and it keeps them floating instead of down around your feet. We call it the ďFish StopperĒ.

Ha, that's my old stomping grounds. Used to live in Bayou Vista about 12 years ago. Was nice walking out the back door, flipping a switch and dropping the boat in the water. That railroad bridge was a challenge when the current was ripping through there.

Thank You Shane! It was a Great evening. Good company, on the water & catching a few fish & we got home safe. This is what I was hoping retirement would be like. Take off & go!! LOL!! I was a little late, a BAD accident just north of Lake Jackson had the frwy shut down. Looked like someone rolled a dodge P/U several times. Life flight was just taking off when I hit the traffic line. We'll gettum next time. Knew it would be tough with that SW wind & outgoing tide. Kiss of death for the surf.

Looks pretty slick at surfside this morning according to Saltwater Recon. Can't tell yet about the color though. I wonder if it will hold until the morning? I think we might give it a go. Chase trout at first light and throw a cast net and catch a few horse mullet for cut bait and set a couple of big surf rods out for reds or shark.
