Default Who all holds a record?

I'll throw one out for my nephew. Graduated highschool last year and finished tied number 2 all time in the state of Texas with stolen bases in a single season. He swiped 61 bags his senior year!

I may have caught the lake record gar at twin Buttes back in 2014 when the lake was at "dead pool". So low it was like shooting fish in a barrel. You could feel your rattle trap bounce off the backs of fish as you retrieved. It was the craziest thing I ever saw. Didn't want to turn it in as I felt like it was cheating with the lake so low. Son caught a couple flatheads then that may have rivaled the record. I see two people turned in fish that month as records. Record or not it was a fun and unique experience. Saw some huge gar, catfish and bass caught then

Not sure if its a record but it feels like a long one. 48 yrs old, been hunting Texas since I was a kid, literally have killed over 100 whitetails and never broke the 140 mark.

Ok so I like competition. search me on youtube to see what mounted cowboy shooting is all about.videos from world and national championships..(David Kaden)

Interesting thread...

I have no way to confirm this but I would be willing to bet I hold the record for most wounded deer recovered with dogs by a woman in Texas.

Very well could be. Maybe in the United States. You never know. Keep it up and you could be world renowned......that's the word I'm looking for I think. Sounds right.......anyways, people will know you recover alot of deer is what I'm talkin about.

Funny story here. I was pitching for Dulles high school in 1981 against Stratford. Playing at there field. I gave up a homer to Stratford catcher, can't remember name. My coach came out to pull me out of the game and says to me" go help those guys find that ball. I asked why and he said I want you to have it,you will never in your lifetime see a ball hit that far. And to this day I still have it. My coach wrote on it Longest home run hit high school baseball. It was long. 390 out to right and over 4 lanes of Dairy Ashford with a median in the middle. Thought it never was gonna come down. That's my record.

I set the record for number of beef ribs eaten in one sitting at Risky's BBQ in Ft. Worth with 23. This was back in college. Prolly 1998 or so.

Their beef ribs are large! About 5 of us went in there and I think we ate close to 100 total beef ribs.

Almost.....

A buddy and I were hauling arse across the bay to get some tournament fish to the weigh in and out of nowhere, a spotted eagle ray jumps in the boat. Took it to the biologist at the scales who told me it would be a Texas record if I wanted to do the paperwork. I declined.

So close to being a record holder.......

I should of entered the 45lbr I shot at my place about 7 years ago. Also have the unofficial long nose gar for that same body of water. Mine was 15lbs. larger than the one on record. But I was too lazy to find a certified scale and enter them.

Yea I know, we were employed by the same company. I introduced him to tbh. After that one of us worked, the other...

Actually I was in the development area and he was IT. When they started limiting our web sites, funny how tbh was blocked for me and not him. We had to write our own tunnel out to connect with our own home computers to surf. We had that running for a good 5+ years before we got busted. Rob was gone by then. Luckily the guy who got caught worked for me so I was able to justify it was what he was supposed to be doing so our customers had a way to trade at work behind a firewall.

Ahh that's a monster buffalo Will! I fat fingered my last post and meant to say it was 45.2 lbs- Paul shot it on the lower Colorado.

A different buddy shot what would have beaten the black drum record by 10lbs if he had weighed it on a certified scale and submitted.

Not my record, but since she's my daughter I will bask in her glory...She broke her schools record in the 1600 meter this year with a time of 5:36.90, she is a freshman. The record was one of the longest standing records at her high school. She now has her eyes set on the 3200 meter record.

I held both Lake Travis blue and flathead catfish records at one point. Both on rod and reel and caught them 7 days apart. I have the certificates somewhere.

My son Paul still has the Buchanan junior flathead R&R record.

We caught 98# wahoo years ago. Back then the record was 101 pounds. I need to find pictures of this one.
