    How many?

I've noticed that most guys that shoot trad have multiple bows. How many bows do you guys have? Just curious. If you're afraid your wife may read this thread you don't have to answer.

I have six. I do only like to shoot one cause they are all different and shooting instinctively it really messes me up for a little bit.

I just sold a couple so my numbers have dwindled.

      In no particular order:

66" 44# Osage selfbow with rattleskin backing - made by me
68" 52# Hickory selfbow - made by me
      62" 52# Osage/Cocobolo t/d longbow - made by me
66" 28# Unfinished snakey Osage selfbow, shoots but I never finished it - made by me
62" 47# Bamboo backed osage with copper t/d sleeve, shoots but I never finished it - made by me
      64" 40# 1970-72 Bear Super Kodiak
64" 35# r/d one piece longbow - made by me
48" 25# Martin Youth Recurve for my nephews/nieces to shoot
54" 15# SF Archery with OMP limbs - for my wife but she never shoots
      60" 45# Tradtech Titan II w/Black Max 2.0 limbs

I've got around 10 stickbows and a couple compounds that I've kept for sentimental reasons. Id like more and sure I will add to the collection in the future but it still seems I always go back to one particular longbow.

            How many?

I currently have 9, but only shoot 3 a lot, and pretty much only hunt with one.

            5 longbows
            2 selfbow
            1 composite
            1 recurve

I would've lost an over under on that one.

I’ve got 7 or 8 already myself, but I ran through several inexpensive bows trying to find one I really liked when I first got started. I currently have 2 I absolutely love and another on the way I think is going to work out pretty well. I’ve got a couple bows I bought early on for sale. It’s funny how trad bows make you want to get more and more!! When I shot compounds I never had more than 2 and normally just 1.

                          You made me go count.

Not as many as I used to, and hopefully far less in the future.

                          11 recurves.

                          5 longbows.

Want to get that down to just 1 & 1 not counting the couple or so I will keep on hand for kiddos, and/or others with interest to shoot with.

                          Rick

Haha I’ll tell ya how that came about!! Bob was at the Fowler Ranch last weekend when we were hunting. He had two of those bows there and that’s the first I’d ever seen those particular models. I really liked the way they looked. I shot his, and it’s a RH Bow and I’m a lefty. Even being right handed I shot it pretty good, up close of course, and it felt really good. Then he told me he had one in stock that was a lefty and 45@28 which will put it around 50 at my DL. Which is what I like to shoot . As soon as he got home he sent me some pics and I ended up buying it. I think it’ll turn out to be a good bow!!
