I forgot to post like night. I didn't hate it, but if I paid more than $28 I would be disappointed for sure. To me it was no better than the $20 Jim Beam Black Extra Aged I bought as my last cheap bottle.

Not too easy, my local store gets one bottle allocated per year and i happened to have sun shining on me and decided to stop in and ask if he had anything interesting show up.. he's a really small store so I'm sure there is more to go around at other higher traffic stores

I lucked up on 2 bottles at my local store a couple weeks ago, I'm interested in trading one of them if you ever get up around Northeast Texas.

I think I might just have to drive to the Buffalo Trace Distillery to pick up a case of Elmer T. Lee.

If money is flowing;
Garrison Bros for Bourbon, High West Double for Rye, Original Balcones 1 for Single Malt (New batches are still legit, but a bit off the original recipe)

Everyday Drinkers;
Maker's Mark, Yellow Rose Rye or Balcones Texas Rye (James Oliver is a steal at the price and a different Rye. Delicious), and Balvenie Double Wood for Single Malt.

I drink my whiskey with whiskey. Sometimes a rock, sometimes with a splash of ginger beer. Now to the liquor store tomorrow.

I have never been a JD fan, but I have recently become a huge fan of the Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel Proof. Great flavor and totally different flavor profile than regular JD.

Called a local store about a bottle of Blantons. Rude owner tells me he will only sell Blantonís if I spend $250 first and then $90 for the Blantons. I drive up there and find a bottle of Eagle Rare for $35. Bought the last bottle with a smile on my face and walked out. Heís crazy if he thinks Iím spending that much to buy a bottle of Blantons.

I have an office in Franklin, but had a business meeting in Rosenberg yesterday and made a few stops on stores to see if I could find a hidden gem. I stopped in Bellville and asked if they had a bottle or Blantons or Elmer T Lee. Of course the answer was no, but did she sure put so much attitude and sass into her no. Said that when does gets blantons it goes to only guy in town and I am not him. Lol

There was a first choice liquor off 99 that I stopped by. Had Blantons but wanted $100 for it. Tried to talk the owner down on price but he said that he put it that morning and would have it sold by the evening.

Good on you for not overpaying for good bourbon. If idiots quite paying double retail for bottles, the prices will HAVE to come down eventually.

This week I found an Elmer for $100, Hancock's for $100, Rock Hill Farms for $149, Blanton's for $90, etc....they're all still sitting on the shelf. In the last few months, I've found each of those at retail elsewhere.

Errrbody looking for Blanton’s. There are some choices that are better and you can find.

EHT Small Batch (getting harder to find)
John J Bowman (getting harder to find)
Old Forrester 1920 Prohibition (easy to find)
Old Grand Dad 114 (bottom shelf)

Then there is a list of rye’s that are great and easier to find.

Hardly so. As much as Chase drinks and shares this is just a good supply. Now hoarders have 100s of bottles tucked away in cabinets and bunkers. I know, I used to hoard ammo but lost it all in the flood of 2016. I envy your friends Chase.
