40mm Scope Rings

Howdy,

I have a Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10x40mm scope that I'm trying to mount on my Sig Sauer 716.

I cannot for the life of me find scope rings that fit the 40mm scope. Am I stupid or something? I bought 1" at Academy today and those were obviously too small, but I figured I'd give it a try.

I've also combed through Leupold's website.

Do I just use the 1" rings and tighten it down as much as I can?

40mm is the objective size or the big part on the front. That scope should have a 1 inch tube. If it is not a 1" tube then it will be a 30mm tube.

Only one mainstrean scope with a 40mm main tube, IOR. I am guessing you have this sorted, but it is possible!
