I have caught all of them so far, seen where season two has already been approved. I have a hard time understanding what they are saying a lot of the time, I am hard of hearing but I think it is something to do with the audio on the show.

What's the deal with the brands? Do they pick up convicts and brand them and make them work the ranch for life?

Is it only the convicts that are branded? I caught last week they mentioned it wasn't allowed for cowboys to strike a branded man....

The brand is for conicts only. They are then owned by the ranch for life.

So the branded men are all convicts?

When jimmy got beat up by one of the cowboys, and Rip called him family was it a figure of speech or did I miss something in a previous episode?

I think before it's over, it's gonna come out that Jimmy is actual family...most likely of the illegitimate variety.

Ol Red is about drop a **** in the family punch bowl too.

And Casey's wife is hotter'n donut grease!

I'm really enjoying the series so far. It's much better than just about everything else on tv these days. And yes, the music is on point for sure. Looking forward to next week.

And ya, I noticed the 'diesel' sounded like a gasser as well.

Reining horses, itís turning into the new fad like cutting. Those horses are pieces that high for real. Tim McQuay that was on the yellow horse is a big time Reiner. If yíall noticed in the first episode where they taped Jimmy to the Stallion, you could see one guy wearing an AQHA World Show jacket. They have brought in a lot of nice show horses in this and have some big names in the show industry hanging around on scene.

One of the producers for the show rides non-pro reining horses. The first rider was Andrea Fappani he is bad *** also.

July Johnsonís saga is a big part of the book, in fact they barely scratch it in the series. While itís not as interesting as the cattle drive and Gus rescuing Lorena itís still part of what makes the novel what it is.

But I'm thinking about waiting until I can watch 4 episodes in a row without commercials next season. Just can't follow the story line because its hard to hear what being said.

Was talking to mom last night about it and she was telling me that ďLittle Joe CashĒ the bay horse with the long mane that they said was 5mil, he was originally supposedly for $7700 at some sale and was almost Gelded at some point. Thinking the owners made out good on that deal and whatever changed their minds on cutting him was a good decision.

Rewatching the last episode and itís definitely cutter influenced. Rip and Kaycee both riding cutting saddles, figured to see a few ranch ropers or even a wade for the area itís shot in.

Here is a good, recent article in Esquire about the writer. It gives some insight into his "style" of writing and what he is trying to convey and how/why he keeps his audience in suspense. Pretty interesting.

Yup. I don't hear so well and actually just got me some hearing aids. They help but the sound is terrible on this show. I've noticed on some other shows and movies. Seems to be when they try to sound "dramatic" and kinda whisper talk.
