Jay, you have a handsome looking son that just exudes a spirit of strength... What a great gesture for JJ to come visit Clay. That pic of the hospital room with all the visitors and the mix of folks really touched my heart. With all that love surrounding him, Clay is in good hands, and well grounded. I will continue to pray for Clay, you guys and all those affected by this tragedy.
God Bless you all!

May be a little off subject, but I have had multiple External Fixators on my right leg. They are a pain in the rear but if he does what the Dr says and keeps up with rehab he will be back to normal before he knows it. Doing what the Dr says is the biggest thing. If he or you have any questions please PM me, I frequent Scottish Rite to comfort kids and families going into surgery for these same operations. We stopped counting at 50 surgeries for me, but know it was 75+ before I was finally put back together. Praying for him and your family through this. Stay strong through this trial brother.

Man I am just seeing this. As I hold my 2 1/2 year old son I can not even begin to imagine being in your shoes or the shoes of those parents who lost their child.

Believe that God has a plan and for reasons unknown to you right now, this was in his plan for Clay. Many many prayers up for y'all.

Prayers up for Clay... but especially for you. I can't begin to fathom... In fact, I try not to because it is a scary thing to think about what your kiddo had to go through and must come to terms with, now and many years to come.

May the Lord provide you peace and rest.

They just took him back for surgery. Doctor said a 12 week recovery before he can lift weight. The prognosis is good and he should be fine as long as the nerves arn't mangled too bad. He didnt think that was going to be a big problem. Please keep praying that the nerves are good. Surgery is going to be about 5 hours so im going to find the truck to take a nap. Thanks for all your prayers.

Prayers for swift and steady hands for the doctors as they put your boys arm back together, and that the news be nothing short of miraculous.
Also praying for rest for you and your family as you guys walk through this with Clay.
I ask that you are able to receive rest beyond the hours you're able to sleep, and that God will allow your minds to rest and be prepared for the process of recovery.

Just got back to the room. The surgeon said everything went great. The nerves looked great and everything went back together as expected. 3 plates and some screws to hold it all together. He said there were 2 bullets in the arm not one. Recovery time is about 12 week until no restrictions and he can start using it right away.
