Looks good. I might have to convert mine to those.

Is the wire big enough for tree rats to still get in?

The original OP (bowpro12) manufactured a base for my 85 gallon barrel for what I thought was a minimal fee. Extremely well built. Very large and very easy for two people to move the base. I don't think the thing weighs 45lbs. This one will be going in a feeder pen but I will stake it down so it cannot be moved. Once I set it up I will post some pics. Just waiting on the one in the field to run out of corn so it may be several weeks before it is low enough to move. I am going to place a new 12volt motor, The Timer, and a solar panel inside the cage. Should be a good setup.

When I saw this, I looked back through the posts to see if anyone asked "where did you get the shopping carts from to make the cages?"

I think I'm going to try to convert a feeder I have into something like this for easier filling with one person

I believe that is how I am going to have to build my varmint cage. The one that I currently have is simply not cutting it. If nothing else my son and I are going to have a field day on the coons this weekend. I believe it is time to teach him all about long range 22 shots.
