Default Made another Bowie

I love Bowies, I normally only make about 12 a year even though they do sell, just takes me a long time fitting the guard and the handle. This one high carbon steel hamon edge ( the definition isn't good in the pictures ) 13 1/2 OAL tip to guard is 8 3/4. Stabilized Elk handle and made the sheath with rawhide. This one was fun.

That is super nice. I'm just curious, Bob, do you put a pin through the antler and tang? If so, do you glue it up first?

You might could see it better in this picture. I re-did the sheath; I do both Sam. I use fiber glass resin with some fiber inside and then I pin it through thang. The pin is about where the sinew ends.
