Got this 9pt on Tuesday around 5:20. It's been a struggle hunting my parents 106 acre farm. It's mostly open pasture with two dry creek beds. I rely on food plots and a 10 hog panel round pen that my dad hand corn's throughout the year and put piles of corn out during December. This buck owned that pen, when he was hard horned I never saw another buck in there with him on camera.
On to the hunt, this buck came out and went straight to the pen. First time in person I've seen him. About the time he took his first bite a young buck, doe, and two yearlings entered the food plot. The young buck chased the yearlings everywhere, and my boy was not having it. He snort wheezed then jumped the pen to run him off. My pen is at 50 yards he made it to 30 yards and with my rifle (I know I'm sorry) I stopped him and after a short track I had my buck. I plan on bow only next year...maybe

Garguy, I've never met you but thanks for advice on corn piles a few years back via pm. Had to do the tailgate pic on the mule.
Food plot pep's, I enjoy those threads and over the years they have really helped me out. I see more deer every year, thanks for the ideas!
