Nothing to report at my stand but a few wood ducks.

Weather looks like it's going to be frigid later in the week.

Service is spotty here. Had young 8 trailing a doe earlier. Nothing now but drizzling rain.

About 30 turkeys have flown down out of the roost and are moving up the ridge away from me to the SW. I can hear another deer in the distance blowing to my SE but it’s a long ways away

We came in out of the rain to get a sandwich and hot bowl of chicken & dumplin's. We pulled game cam cards from other stands since it was raining and:

Target buck located.......



Saw another nice young buck too

All set in the river bottom close to where I killed my deer last year. Walking in saw 5 deer and drew on a doe but she was too young. Saw a decent buck.

Moved to a little different spot down by the river for this afternoon’s hunt.

Heard a buck chasing a doe through the swamp behind me about 20 minutes ago. He was grunting up a storm and running her through the water. Saw the top of his rack a couple times as they bounded through the tall grass, but never got a real good look at him
