As for the Boren news, this may or may not offend the locals. There are rumblings (coming from some of the same folks that leaked his stepping down) that this was a power play and the BOR wanted him out due to conference affiliation and Boren settling to stay put. At least this is what I heard before the leaked info about him retiring came out.

The conference shift may be on the verge of another earthquake.
