I feel the only reason a person would say "I run this gun" is if they are a gun smuggler or operate a humvee mounted turret gun. Just IMO.

But there might be new millennial terms I am not familiar with. lol

I think the guys that run their guns, have also been known to mount or present their firearms. I've mounted a horse, and I've presented gifts to people; but I usually just aim my guns and pull the trigger with my booger hook.
