I can't say on a Rio. I've killed plenty of Eastern. Biggest was 21lbs, 10.5" beard and 1-5/8" spurs. He is on the wall.

      Over 1.5" spurs

      Over 25 lbs

Beards are what they are. Multiple are a bonus. Like drop tines.

I prefer a shoulder mount but if you want a full body it is for you. I don't like all the room they take up. I killed a triple beard tom with my bow and shoulder mounted him.

          I don't think I've seen a shoulder mount

Yes and this one was killed at less than 5 yards

I also consider ANY bird I call in for a rookie hunter. I almost enjoy calling em as much as killing em. Almost!

We seem to have a multiple beard gene at the lease. 9"+ are pretty common.

I don't shoot them anymore, but it's not uncommon to see 60+ a day....mostly hens and jakes, but it doesn't take much to kill one here with 3 beards.

I used to like to see how fast I could limit out from the truck.

I agree with Smart as well. My son has shot quite a few, one really good one with his bow. But my favorite is a hen he shot 2 years ago.

Or hen. I was stalking down a cross-fence line that was corned for a couple of rabbits for lunch after the morning hunt. It was early Oct just north of Bravketville. Out of a bush right at my feet a hen busted up almost knocking me down. She took flight straight away and before she was 15yds out I put an arrow through her, she went into a gliding roll dive into the ground and crawled into a brush pile, she was dead when I got to her.

10" beard minimum. Thick, not thin beard on top of that
