Default Bobcat

Had this bobcat walk up to the feeder and spook some does off. I decided to use a predator call to call it in closer for a few pics. At the end it was about 4 yards from me while I was sitting in the blind. It was a very overcast and dark day but the pics turned out good. Pics were taken with a Canon 7D and a Canon 100-400mm IS lens.

Great pics. Those should be shared with a few taxidermist for reference. Or maybe they should use #5 pictures pose and have them face the wall

I'm gonna have to get me a camera because I have killed enough or them that I have no desire to kill another one unless it's pushing 35 pounds. Awesome pics!

Beautiful colors. I was excited to see a bobcat on our place this year. In 40 years of hunting, it is the first time to see a bobcat on our place.

No shot and don't really shoot many bobcats. I have had my share of hunts ruined by them showing up around a feeder through the years though. This pic was taken in Live Oak County and it was still very early so I passed on the shot that day. I saw this cat the week before when I hunted also. I have filled my one buck tag for an over 13" buck in my AR county so they all get a pass here in Goliad County also. I have always seen a lot of bobcats and have killed very few over the years. The ones I did kill were ones that always showed up around a feeder or food plot at prime hunting time. I did catch a lot when snaring fencelines over a 3 yr period in La Salle County. I think I averaged 35 or so per year when snaring that one ranch over a 3 yr period. Lot more bobcats around than we ever see.

Great pics.......They always get a pass on my place as well, I have tons of rabbits and mice that hang around my feeders, something has to keep them thinned out. Passed on an average sized one a few weeks ago, had him at 10 yards with my bow in hand. I just enjoy seeing them, cool critters and not over run with them.
