It's my inclination to believe your correct. Absolutely need to build that wall. I'm afraid that entire countries population will be starving in less than 10 years and the pressure on our border will be great.

I have a rich democrat friend that has moved to Mexico for health care. Here she is stuck with Obama care. There it is all Cadillac insurance as long as you have money. She still voted for Killery in the last cycle. {mental disease}
Well with this new guy I guess she will have to move again................

If Hillary woudlnt have stolen the nomination from Bernie. I think we could have been pretty close to becoming Venezuela or Brazil.

Technically if they are going to go down the socialism path they need to build border walls themeselves so that it can sustain itself.

If he and his party make Mexico better, it'll be the first time socialism ever improved anything.

If he wasn't already friends with the cartels, he'd probably been among the long list of candidates that were assassinated during the campaign.

definitely truth there.
But they are only friends until they are no longer necessary..or tolerated - and usually the toleration is used up before the necessary...

Dang! Maybe Trump saw this coming and that's why he said they would build that wall.
Actually, their socialism will only work if half of them are here sending money ba k

Why? The cartels make money by trafficking people and drugs. The worse off Mexico is economically the more desperate people become to be trafficked or run drugs or both, and will do it for less money.

Yes I am aware. I just donít see that any level of stability or economic viability offers any benefit to the cartels. If anything the desperation of the common man plays into their success. Venezuela has become the drug trafficking center of the world under the socialist regime, granted they arenít Venezuelan cartels, but those cartels were always weaker than their Columbiaís counterparts. The Columbians just expanded into Venezuela.

We got any gambling men in the room?

Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced this week that he plans to travel without armed guards and claims that the people will protect him, even as the country has been rocked by scores of political assassinations over the past several months.

President Enrique Pena Nieto reportedly offered Lopez Obrador federal protection until he takes office, but he declined, saying, "The people will protect me. ... He who fights for justice has nothing to fear."

Lopez Obrador, who is commonly referred to as "AMLO," also told a large crowd of supporters: "Youíll all be watching out for me."
