    Aging deer by tooth.

I am trying to age this deer, but it is not matching any of the years on the reference tool.

If you really look back there you can see it.

Can you age this deer by tooth?

    Asking for a friend.

Jaw is farther back bud. Split the lip back or really pry it open to see them.

We are experts in deer aging. Call (512) 756-1989 for accurate and verifiable forensic cementum annuli deer aging. Wildlife Analytical Labs has been getting it right since 2004.

If you want the real age.

Sorry, my sarcasm did not shine thru.

This was a very mature deer that a friend shot this weekend and on it's way to be mounted. Photo doesn't show it well, but there is only 1/16" of a tooth left in its head.

That'll teach me for trying to make a joke.

He can ask the taxidermist to save the jaw

Looks like you are talking about the rare canine tooth deer get once in a while.

ive noticed that the deer eating protein year round have different wear than the deer that forage for food
