Default Animal help

Man, we canít win for losing with our pets in the last year. Had to put down my 7 year old boxer last spring break from cancer and our 17 year old chihuahua passed in January.

Now I have a new issue. Four and a half year old female boxer. Problems started Friday morning. Not eating. Drinking excessively and throwing up. No diarrhea. No lumps like the last one did with lymphoma.

No vets open close on Sunday. Anyone have any real idea what I can do or what it may be? My daughter is melting down as this is her dog.

No idea. But try giving rice with bone broth or just bone broth to keep some nutrients in the dog.

Any vaginal discharge? I'd get her to any vet asap. Sounds like a potential pyometra which would need emergency surgery if it is. Could be a lot of things as well, but not spayed, drinking a lot and vomiting sure sounds like a pyo.

No discharge. She just came out of heat in the last week to 10 days. I’ll be taking her tomorrow.

Is she throwing up immediately after she drinks? If so, a possibility of something blocking her intestines or something hung up in her stomach or intestines. Went thru this twice with my female Rottie. Had to have 2 toys cut out, one wedged at the very beginning of her intestines and one that was lodged in the side of her stomach. Just what I have gone thru, not sure if that is what yours has a problem with but something else to look at.

The fact that she's recently been in heat, increases the likelihood.

All depends on what your vet charges man.
