Default Anybody around the Magnolia area lose something?

I found something of value hunting related today in the middle of the road in the Magnolia area. If it's yours, send me a pm so we can get it back to you. You will know what it is if you lost it and I'll expect a pretty good description of what it is before I hand it over.

Sorry to be vague, but I want it to go to its rightful owner & if that's you, you'll know exactly what you lost. Just trying to do the right thing to get it back to its owner - if I lost mine I'd be upset...

Ha ha ha!! On a serious note, I found a Zeis scope like that once. Posted around the same. Contacted the local gun shops. It stood to reason that if you lost something that valuable you would know.

Sounds like the OP won the road lottery. I’ve been fortunate to snag a few good items over the years via the blacktops myself.

I also won a nice Marine Corp yeti this weekend at Nanza. Nice haul

Is it a Garmin GPS Map 64ST? I lost mine back in November when I walked out of the woods. I set it on my spare tire on my jeep and figured I lost it on FS204 but there is a chance it could have made it that far. I passed thru that area later in the day. I had a big thread on the SHNF Facebook group. Can provide a picture of it on my bag with my Lee Enfield.

I lost a Gunwerks LR 1000 rifle in 28 Nosler with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-20 x 50 scope, a Thunderbeast supressor and an Atlas bipod, all nicely packed away in a Pelican hard sided case, right in the middle of the road.

I'm hoping that's what you found

Don't really want to say yet. I'm posting around some other places looking for the owner. It's a nice find but I'd be sick if I lost mine & whoever found it didn't make an honest effort to return it.

If it has a serial number 12ring's experience might work

If I were you I’d give it to the local police department. Since we do not know what it is but you say it’s something of value, chances are it may have been reported lost or stolen. If the owner had a serial number and reported it and in the future you get stopped with it, you may or may not get in trouble. It maybe the missing piece of a crime known one knows. Just something to think about. Thanks for trying to find he owner
