Its pretty common when there are issues with service coverage. Sometimes its easier to txt pictures than it is to upload them.

Wow boys that was some work! Down off the ridge now with better service.

250ish yard shot across a canyon on the run! A group showed over the next ridge and winded us. I could not belive the shot I pulled off. He tumbled down about 400 feet and was done.

Fyi if you think your in shape and ready for something like this I suggest you keep training even harder. I did it but man I'm beat.

Thanks Spencer for posting for me.

Now some rest and start after Stag with my bow. The Roar isn't going yet so this will be tough.

We glassed several good 6x6 and better today. But I want to make a serious effort with my Bow first.

Cheers

Sean

Update- yesterday was the toughest hunt ever. I have no idea how many miles we walked and glassed. We are hunting 70k acre private low fence ranch on the South Island. There isn't a muscle that doesn't hurt. This terrain is like south TX brush and straight up and down with rock slides peppered in. It's become clear a bow shot isn't going to happen. Maybe if the roar had started..Maybe. We are seeing good bachelor groups but can not get a stock on them. Today it's rifle time and we are headed back up now.

This place is such a sight! Would be hard to beat these views.

Today's shot may be 500 plus yards! So here we go! Shooting a 270 Sako 4.

Cheers

I think those tahr are one of the most beautiful critters on earth! Yours looks awesome! Congrats!

I went over there a few years ago with my longbow trying to kill a stag. Got real close once, but ended up shooting mine on the last day with a rifle I borrowed from the outfitter.

Good luck on your stag!

What another gorgeous day! We did an insane stalk on some Stags. I would guess a mile up a and across a ridge. This was the toughest one so far. We got within 120 yards of 7 bedded bulls. The biggest was about 270". It was a tough call but I passed. They were free range and I ask if I made a bad call. I really want to break 300".

It was so cool to lay in the brush and grass for 2 hours glassing these guys . We intentionally got them up to see if maybe we overlooked one.

I'm beat...off to bed. Tomorrow is another day.

Teaser pic for you.

This was a life event guys. I have never ever worked so hard for something. I played football all thru school and never even came close. There were times I wanted to quit and hire a helicopter to get me lol. I pushed on for four days of brutal hell terrain of up down up down...

It took 2 trips to get all of him out between me and my guide.

I cried when we got to the base on last haul. I never thought I could do this.

I truly believe I am a changed man. I thank God almighty for being right there with me.

This was a free range hunt on 70k acres. Headed to put a tape on him now.
