That is pretty much the de facto spring board into the crypto world. You can buy btc, eth, ltc and bch there. If that is all you are interested in then you don't need much else. Maybe GDAX. But if you want to get into the alt coins you need to send your crypto from CB to GDAX. From GDAX send the crypto to an exchange of your choice. A lot of folks, myself included, are using Binance. I believe it is the largest exchange out there in volume. You can use my link below to sign up.

Thank you. I am trying to navigate the Binance site and familiarize myself with GDAX prior to doing much. Thanks for the link.

I bought some at 7550 and a little more at 12700 which was a mistake. I'm thinking it's going to dip again before the whole commercial hype but I may be wrong. I think there's like 200,000,000 in circulation so it may also be a good long term hodl, we shall see.

The answer to my question is........

Fear of hacking? I am seeing that it is highly unlikely.

At .72 it was a buy and hold. I don't know about all the super bowl hype stuff though. It's only on Binance and a couple of other lower tier exchanges and the fact that Binance hasn't been great about getting people signed up could hurt it.

Now if it were on Coinbase? *Rocket ship*

At .72 you would double your investment by selling today.

My thoughts are......550.00 in then, sell today and have one ETH for 550. Send it to Coinbase.....hold.

So I created a Binance account and downloaded the app. What's the safest way to add funds and what is two factor authentication.

Why is Binance so not user friendly. I can’t find the price I bought at? Is there a certain way to see bought price and current price on the same page?

The best way to start is with coinbase. There you add form your bank account or credit card. CC is instant. Bank is 7 or so days. Then you transfer to GDAX. This will save fees. GDAX login is same as coinbase. Then transfer to binance. ETH or LTC will be cheapest.

2fa- download google Authenticator on your phone. It will give you a code for binance and coinbase. Keeps you a little safer when logging in and/or making transactions.

Read back on this thread. A lot of great info and explanations.

I am watching it and waiting for a sizeable dip and then I'm in. ALmost bought it the other day at $1.20 but didnt. It then went to the high 1.40's which would have been my 20% profit. Imma watching it like a hawk right now becuase it appears to be dipping.

I bought in 325 at $1.25. I figured there might be some bump with the super bowl.

Did anyone else buy VeChain when I mentioned it around the $1.50/ 8928 mark? Its now hovering at almost $8 and 669600, trying to decide if I should continue to hold or cash out now at 600% increase.

My plan is to always pull some out when I get a big run up like that. On my RKC that made a big run I sold enough to pull out my original investment and then another sum that gave me a guaranteed 80% return on that original investment. The shares I still have are worth 200% of my orginal investment as the stock has tanked of late. NEVER been ashamed or mad about taking a guaranteed profit regardless of what happens down the road.

So when the overall market is falling, what do you guys do? I’ve sold and bought a lot of the alt coins, but have been using bitcoin/eth for trades. Right now, I have money sitting in bitcoin because I couldn’t find an alt I wanted to buy. But bitcoin is falling, so I’m losing value. I’m using binance primarily. Can I hold US dollars in binance? Or should I send bitcoin or eth to coinbase, then hold it in US dollars in coinbase wallet?

When you copy the deposit wallet address in coinbase, it can be pasted in the withdrawal address in binance. However, binance also wants a “label”, but I can’t find where I can generate a label in coinbase to enter it into binance to complete the transfer....
