Mashed a finger so bad that it split open. Out of 10 digits, which one got mashed? That's right the main one for drawing the bow. For any one that works with their hands, this is going to happen but it really sucks when it's an important one.

I did that on my middle finger about 5 yrs ago trying to close my truck door quietly peeled that sucker wide open, just about passed out had to lay down in my truck for about 10 minutes. Bow season was over for me. I feel your pain.

Try your middle and ring finger under nock. The joints will be tender but you can get a decent release that way
