Thanks John! I am really hoping that it brings the kind of results all of you had at your place last year If I can get everything finished this year in time I will work on a rod holder!

New spot looks unreal Mr. Jay.

Hate to hear about the burned areas, but I bet they come back strong.

One thing I’ve learned about Darton is that things are well thought out. The blind placement that close to the water was certainly not accidental. I hear stink bait is good cover scent.

Your intuition hasn't let you down this time either I am in the process of developing my own batch of stink bait coupled with a retractable trot line

Yesterday was the delivery of the material for the new barn. I got moved up in line since my pad was completed! With any luck and cooperating weather we should have her up in ten or so days

Have you considered finishing out part of the barn to create the “Visiting TBHr’s Bunkhouse”?

May be somewhat popular during the Fall part of the year.....

I tried that on the previous property and never had any takers Might be better to make that space more functional for equipment storage Besides, you just got a new place up the road

Since I stuck to the bow all year I didn't score any bone, but had a lot of sightings and near misses

Don't worry about the TBH guest room, I'll just bunk on the couch............

How is the browse looking so for on your place? Have you had any time to tinker with spring / summer food plots or did I miss that somewhere?

Have a good one my friend.

My neighbor pulled out the big rig and did a my south field with his heavy disc this week so I thought I might as well get my seed in the ground before the monsoon tomorrow. Got 300 lbs of Soybeans, 300 lbs of Iron Clay Cow Peas, and 100 lbs of Milo in the ground this evening and what a beautiful afternoon it was

After getting the seed in the ground I made a little trip up to the new big pond to see how it was doing. Put 200 Hybrid Bluegill, 200 Channel Cats, 300 Black Crappie, 300 Florida Hybrid Large Mouth Bass, 500 Copper Nose Bream, and 30,000 Fathead minnows back in October so they could start doing their thing. Looking to add some structure here in the next couple of months in the form of Cedar Trees for a little cover and then time to enjoy

Like anywhere in Pittsburg County the hunting is solid. That area has quite a few cattle ranches so the pressure will be limited. If you can share some more specifics I can get you more detailed info

No dice on finishing the barn today! Floods are here in force, but it should be good to all the seed I put in the ground yesterday!

Alright Building is up and concrete is the next step. Out of town for work now, but should have measurements back to the company so that they can deliver the proper amount of fill dirt in preparation for the concrete

Your place looks awesome, you put a lot of effort into the two places that you have shown on here, I would bet you will be well rewarded in the near future, congrats. Just curious, why not build pad and pour slab before the barn went up ? Keep the pics coming, enjoy reading about your projects.

Honestly I couldn’t tell you. It seems, depending on the contractor, they are 50/50 on which way they do it. After this one I will have done it both ways. So hopefully I can provide some insight to which method is better

Yesterday saw the completion of the toy shed with the pouring of the concrete! Good thing too because storms have moved in with force! Next step is to clean up the mess and start moving things in Another project down and many to go

That cleaning deck with cover is a nice addition. Coming along very nicely. Your spring seeds starting to come up yet?

Shredding all my oats, wheat and chicory to let the Clovers come through and get a little of the sun shine.

I am really looking forward to the skinning rack! Gonna be a big help with lights on the evening kills! I have not had a chance to go and check the seed I put in the ground, but will hopefully get to soon! I will keep you updated
