Default Youth Spring Turkey Weekend

We had a great weekend at our place in Rocksprings. I was able to put my oldest son (8) on his first turkey, and my wife & I picked up a bunch of sheds.

We got out of the blind after an unproductive morning sit, and went to pick up my wife and other son (4). As we turned the corner coming to her blind, she waved us down, and pointed towards the feeder. There was a group of turkeys feeding away from the feeder. We grabbed the rifle & the Bog-pod and started our stalk. At one point, we had to crawl on our hands and knees to stay behind cover. We were lucky enough to remain unnoticed, and get into position for him to make a 50 yd shot. I was proud that he was able to keep it all together, and make the shoot off of shooting sticks! He was so pumped! Momma was also happy that she got to see it all unfold from her blind.

They're just not dropping yet. I only saw one WT that had shed.
I won't be there unfortunately, but the next couple weeks should be prime time to find some WT sheds.
