Love my Beagle. Though I'm pretty sure I'm never taking her deer hunting.

Me too, considering that the one I got from you hated our house so bad that she still hasn't returned. I'm not sure if it was the good meals, the warm kennel or the love of two little girls that she hated so much, but she left Dodge and ain't been seen since.

Seriously though, I'm sure when she got out that she got picked up by somebody that knew a good dog when they saw one. She's probably already escaped them by now.

I'm so glad I'm not alone. I thought I was a bad dog owner because of the many escape attempts our Duke has made good on. We got lucky apparently though. It only took a couple escapes before we knew he would always head to the playground around the corner. The neighbourhood kids love him.

True story from when we first got our him as a pup. We had this great idea to crate train him, so as my wife left one morning she put him in the crate in the garage. I got home a few hours later and he greeted me happily at the garage door. Chewed a hole in the side of the travel crate. Stupid dog we thought, we'll fix you. So the next day we squished the crate between two freezers and thought that should be good. Come home a few hours later and he again meets us happily at the garage door. He's somehow managed to bump the crate forward a few inches and basically destroyed the entire side of the crate to get out. After that, we gave up on the crate training.
