Axis buck

Well for the story, right place right time I guess. We hunted water all weekend and I had already killed three does. Bucks were eluding me though. Saturday morning he started working his way up a creek bed I where was set up in a pop up. He drank for a second then was headed up a steep bank where he offered me a quartering away shot. Hit him perfect I thought but it still took him about an hour to die, luckily in view though!

Awesome, I loved that place so much that we bought property in Rocksprings. I hunted that ranch for over 10years. they have a zoo of animals and are top notch service for bowhunters.
