I have a deer. A youngin. 2 maybe 3, but the heart says 2. The dude is already completely developed. He’s still got his velvet. What would cause this?

he may not be finished just yet. with that amount so far, it would be interesting to see just how much he grows before velvet falls off. good genetics, low pressure, supreme diet/water availability.. could have a real stud on your hands..

Still has some finishing. But seems early. Our Leon co deer are mostly framed out. Saw a good one last week.

Saw a monster buck in Catarina this week that was barely above his ears.

          Could’ve dropped his antlers early

How much further along does he appear compared to your other bucks. Doesn't look crazy far along to me for this time of the year

Looks normal. Some are ahead and some are seemingly behind. Just normal.

The only part done growing on that buck is his brow tines he probably has about another month of growth on him . and he is two at max on age !

Had one last year basically done by end of may. But boy did his tines get tall those last couple months. Don't view it as a bad thing.
