      New shop build.

Why do some builders do wood framing instead of steel?

Is there a significant cost savings?

Big cost savings using wood over red iron. Im under 20k including the concrete. Only thing you have to do is your dirt work they don’t do that.

Wow, that is most impressive for a one day build. Enjoy your new shop.

you got a heck of a deal. Contacted them about a 20X30 14' tall with a 15' overhang on the longer side. Roll up door on each end and one walk through door, and they priced me $19,000.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I’m getting concrete Tuesday I’ll post some more pics when it’s finished. Next project is getting electricity to the shop and then wiring the inside.

Might consider stubbing in some 2” pvc conduit for the electrical before the concrete pour. I try to avoid any conduits running up the outside of a building. The weed eater is tough on them.

Got my concrete poured and finished yesterday. Just waiting for electrical now which is a whole nother headache. How long do y’all suggest letting the concrete dry before doing anything? Figured tomorrow I could move my stuff back in. Heaviest thing I have is a zero turn
