    Sportsmans Devotional 10/1/2015 Thursday

    Today's Photograph . . . . Shell Litter (MQ)

    Bible Study Verse
    Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
    (NKJV)

    Thoughts
What this verse says to me is simple. The countenance of our friends is dependent on the way we act, speak and live before them. This can also be applied to those who may observe us when we are in the outdoors, hunting and fishing, doing what we love--enjoying God's creation.
    (Jimmy S)

    Action Point
Remember, someone is always watching your actions and listening to your voice - friends, other sportsmen, your kids. So, act - show God's countenance - out of respect and with high regard for the outdoors and the wildlife we enjoy so much.

Most important of all, honor Him with your actions.

    Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
Give newcomers or strangers to our sport a good impression by making sure you clean up after yourself when in the woods. This includes picking up empty shotgun hulls after they've been fired! In this way we can ensure that our hunting and fishing heritage will last long into the future. It is always under attack by those who don't understand or agree with what we do.
