My 308 really likes Hornady's Match 168 BTHP. I'm looking for a hunting bullet, though. Any suggestions on something that'll be similar? It doesn't like the Federal Fusion 165's.

My 308 really like the federal match ammo. I used it for taking numerous deer and hogs without issue.

Once i started reloading i dialed in the 178 amax and it has been devastating to hogs. Like a blender was turned on in there insides.

I use the match bthp in my 260 and the preform flawlessly. I shot a buck at 325 yards and had a perfect exit the size of a quarter to half dollar range. Every animal I shoot with mine have all been good exits.

Mine loved 168gr sierra match kings but I never got an exit wound and lost some animals due to zero blood trail.

For hunting I used 165gr gamekings and they shot just as good.

What else does it like? Have you just shot one particular load out of it?

Just those for now. Figured Hornady likely had he same ammo with a hunting bullet in it but wasn't sure.
