JD Lyle is a friend of mine and one of the top guides. Riley and I usually book a trip with him if we are up in that area. We also have stayed in his cabins several times over the years. I Would highly recommend him. http://texomaguide.com

These guys will put you on them.

Ask for Peanut or Diamond Dave.

                        They are a great outfitter.

Man, JD Lyle is a blast from the past! He was the go to striper guru on the TFF when I first found internet forums about 15 years ago!

He still the guru... A lot of the guides mentioned above run trips for JD. You pretty much have to book him several months in advance to actually fish with him on the yellow banana as Riley likes to call his boat. Every time I booked him it was always to pre-fish a tournament and I would tell him I don't care about numbers but let's go big fish hunting. He liked that because he likes big fish and knew we weren't gonna keep any unless they were gill hooked or something. Every time after we would get finished he would take the left over bait and let Riley catch a few big bass off his dock. Those bass got trained to come in a feed on his left over bait. They would wear them out. But he would only let her catch 4-5. All 5-7lbs.

The first time I fished texoma was for a Striper tournament. We booked JD for Friday and since it was such a long drive we booked his cabins from Wed-Sunday. Thursday morning we got up and was on the water catching bait before 4am. JD pulled in and started throwing his net and after we had our bait caught I called him and asked if he was good on bait and he said needed a few more... We threw the net one more time loaded up on shad.... I called him over and said we got them for you.. He loaded his tank and asked why the hell did we book him... Y'all know what your doing lol. Beginning of a great friendship
