Crossbow Anyone?

Picked this off of AT---and I can't imagine how that stung. Lesson learned---don't let your thumb get in front of the string--

I hit my thumb with my sons little pistol crossbow last week. Was sure glad it was not a full grown xbow

Ouch, I bought my first ever crossbow last week. It has fluted aluminum plates sticking out both sides. It would be ALMOST impossible to catch a thumb.
