Boone and Crockett copperhead

Was headed to bed last night and my JRT walked over to the sliding glass door and started barking.
Figured it was some kind of critter after the cat's food but when I shined a flashlight out on patio the cat was staring at something. Shined light over and saw a big copperhead on the patio
I don't kill all snakes but copperheads and any other venomous ones usually get dealt with if they are around house/barn etc
Stretched it out and it is every bit of 37" and probably over 38" if it was completely straight

Man that's a big 'ol nasty sucker!!! A co-worker killed a 40" one the other day...one of the biggest ones I've ever seen. Snakes have had an easy time through our last 2 mild winters so y'all keep your eyes peeled!
