Another great weekend hunt at the Timberlakes !
Little Jaime (6.5 years old) did so well with the guidance of dad to not shoot a doe the evening prior because of low light. Next evening he has 2 shooter AXIS BUCKS ( but in the feed pen and bad shot ) when a group of 30+ aoudad come in to bully all the animals away.
Before this Fallow buck had a chance to boogie, Jaime took the shot.... easy recovery in 50 yard. Way to go with your Xbox !!!
Also shot a hog the last morning,.... jut could not find it. Little guy disappointed in that - but welcome to the ups and downs of hunting.
New hunters Alex and Ethan ( father son group) made it happen with rams for the both of them. A couple missed shots on does and a hog on the sons part,.. but all part of the hunting learning experience !!
All in all so glad to head from both fathers - that they have never seen so many animals on any given set before ! From axis bucks to black buck,... ibex strain to red stag hinds --- kids had a blast, fathers enjoying getting out... win win ! Congrats to all !!! - c
